I put the two belts over my head and under an arm before shoving the maps and everything else into the map case. I moved back into the study and then ...to the hall door. I opened it and peered out before crossing the hall. I started to open the kitchen door but heard voices and looked around.I moved to the end of the hall and another wood box. I lifted the lid and looked in before I climbed in and squatted. I bent my head as I lowered the lid and squeezed to the other side of the box. I lifted. “I think that I’ll do the same with Larry,” Zoe decided, “since you’re the master, though, I won’t ask you to sacrifice more hair. I kinda like you a bit hairier. It reinforces your more, shall we say ‘alpha,’ tendencies? Larry’s a beta male and he knows it, and doesn’t even seem to mind it.
