The Semi-State Cross Country meet was held at IPFW Saturday—one of my favorite running venues. It’s just a fifteen-minute bus ride from school and... took longer to load and unload our athletic bus than to drive to The Plex. The boys’ team did well, placing third, even though our top runner only came in fifteenth. A lot of schools only had one good runner and even though that runner was fast, the rest of the team placed far down the list of 178 runners. Our third place finish meant a trip to State. She had always been a bit of an oddity, a Sub without a permanent Dom and one who set strict limits, but the members tolerated a few such who were then available for whomsoever was in the club on that night to abuse as they wished, within the limits set by the Sub with the use of the safe word. She had always played along when she was between steady relationships and so she was sitting alone at the bar one evening when there was a real row over at the other end.One of the Doms was screaming at. .. and Brock had been dating a while but had only been intimate ... once ... and I'd been too busy trying to keep warm inside his frosty Pontiac than generating much heat with him.But as he drove back to my dorm afterward, he explained that it would be much better ... much hotter if we could forget the car and fool around inside a building, any building.And that's when I had decided to try for a slot for the cottage ... my first time and I had won ... which was great luck when I thought about. Allan had been the assistant administrator and 17 years her senior. He cut a swashbuckling path around the hospital and was a very eligible bachelor, his wife having passed away six months earlier. Lois at first liked working for Allan and then she found herself falling in love with this tall, handsome man with the great sense of humor. They hid their relationship until she finished her internship and then they were married.The marriage and relationship blossomed and grew until three years ago.
