It was during our 4th semester one day afternoon in college I was called to the office for a phone call and it was ammu’s uncle (father’s friend) ...who told me that ammu’s father had met up with an accident and is in a critical condition and had to be taken to a hospital in mangalore. So I was asked to bring ammu to mangalore by the evening train. Shafeena was having some internal exams so I and ammu were traveling to mangalore.Ammu was very upset with her fathers’ news and was most of the time. Making the coffee she was conscious of being a little drunk; two full glasses of Chardonnay was about her limit. She also felt anxious as to how she could turn the conversation round.
