She had earned the right to be fatigued. Sixteen hours she had been here with her team today, most of those hours spent outside on the nondescript law...n in front of the Public Safety Training Facility's low-slung classroom building. Outside, in the piercing penetrating damp cold of the Seattle winter, the sort of cold that seeps into a person’s bones and removes all memory of warmth. Twelve hours she had spent gently correcting the class, all the while never hesitating to kneel in the wet. She would drop the last of her father's expectations from her studies when she abandoned Accounting at the end of May. She dreaded telling him, and though he'd rant and rave, he'd still support her. She was still 'Daddy's girl'.She realised she was starting to narrow down her alternatives drastically.Ugh. I might have to teach.Maybe her Dad would be okay. Elaine's mother could be more of a problem..
