Naturally, both pairs of grandparents descended on us, eager to spoil everyone in sight.Our joy was blighted when, a week after we brought her home, the doctors confirmed that Moira was blind. I told her that I worked at the riding stables just up the road and offered to take her on a ride so she agreed to bring the family over the next day. The youngest was put on a pony and let around by her mother while the two oldest ones went out on the trails. At the end of that time, was her turn to go for an hours ride. So we headed out at the tail end of a group and at some point I said to her. That night I told my husband about him and he said it’s ok but don’t live him alone. It occurred to her she’d gone to sleep in the nude last night, which presumably did nothing to dissuade her visitor. She was sleeping curled up on her side facing away from the door, so her visitor had only seen her back and butt in the moments the room was lit by the light from outside..
