I walked into the living room and out the back double doors to see Jim Thomas standing over the barbeque pit. I walked over and shook his hand as he t...ook a break from the pit. “Hey Chris, how are things?”, he asked. “Great sir, really good.”, I replied. “I’m glad to hear that.”, he answered. We talked for a few minutes before Lexie came out of the back door and over to her father. She hugged him and kissed him on the cheek quickly. “Chris, my mom says she needs your help.”, Lexie stated.. Emily, who was 21, worked as a general employee at her local department store. Her roles could include anything from helping customers try on shoes to greeting people as they entered the shop. Having finished Uni a year ago, Emily found her job extremely tedious and boring, not nearly as much however as her non-existent love life. When the bus eventually arrived she took her normal place on the first row of the raised seats near the back. As the bus reached the next stop Emily felt a sudden. Stephen took their plates to the counter to see if they could be reheated. Marian looked down the length of the diner and saw an older gentleman staring at her. He looked strangely familiar, but Marian couldnt place him. He must be one of our members she thought, glancing at Stephen. When she turned back, the elderly man was gone. The rest of the evening was a whirlwind. Even Marian got up to dance, taking some impromptu lessons from one of the girls dressed in a poodle skirt. So she suggested more karate and some spiritual time, and less involvement at work. I think if I stick to coding and stay out of ANY operational stuff, that’s possible. And I can keep more flexible hours, as well as work from home, as necessary. The only stress I’ll suffer.
