We retrieve our luggage and head for the exit from the airport. Our limo driver is waiting at the door and collects all of our luggage and deposits it... gently into the long Cadillac. As we head towards our ocean front cabin the driver begins telling us about the storms that have been hitting and that there may be rough weather approaching. We look at each other and smile. The long car pulls up and deposits us and our luggage in the hands of the bell hop. We look around and the lobby is not quite. I smile again. "My name is Mahala. I want to talk to you," I say, and he smiles at me and comes to the bench. He is a tall man and his blue eyes are better than Heaven. "Can I help you?" he asks me, and he peers at me, and then at my lack of shoes. The night air is getting colder; it is early October. "I heard someone say your name a few days ago, and I remembered it. I am new here. I want to know more about your town," I tell him, but he stares at my feet. "Where are your shoes?" he asks me.. "I mean, I saw him with my own two eyes, but still! Jennlynn? This is our Jennlynn?" I guess it just goes to prove she's still a mystery, no matter how well we think we know her," Tanisha smiled. "I mean, will wonders ever cease?" Well, after the last couple days, we ought to know that surprises happen," Jon replied philosophically. "We've sure had enough of them. Well, one down, four to go." Yeah," Tanisha agreed. "I hadn't really planned on coming to this show, and I'm going to be glad to. She looked with worry at the half empty Starbucks coffee cup with the red lipstick mark. Her facial expression turned inward, like a train having popped off the track forced to face with what to do now. The moment passed. She pulled the costume of care counsellor back on, lifted the fallen over teleprompter up, and machine gunned the end of her script. ‘Please, walk down the hallway and check in with the nurse.’ The nurse station was a counter at the end of the hallway with a little green.
