The Ink Spots were wailing from the speaker as I put the finishing touches to my outward appearance. Ruth, of course, would scold me and tell me I was... overdressed, that I’d gone to too much trouble, but her words would fall on deaf ears, as they always did.It was a knock at the door that disturbed me and kept me from finishing getting ready. I was expecting to see Ruth and her new partner on the other side of the door, extra early, as Ruth usually was, but instead it was my landlord, who I had. Ellen thought that Ricki would be the one who would be upset after all she was the leader and the most risqué member of the group but she was wrong, it was Jean who was angry.Jean turned to Ricki and said. I don't wear baggy jeans ort-shirts emblazoned with wild pictures or sayings. I wear button-up shirtswith button down collars and slacks (as my mother calls them). Khakicolored ones are my favorite but I have some others. My mother says I lookvery smart. Everyone else.
