Jack was about half-way through his burger when Cindy Williams sat down on the other side of the small table."Do you mind, Jack? All the other spots a...re filled up and I need a place to sit down."Actually, he did mind but he could see there was really no other place to sit down so he just mumbled and nodded his head up and down without removing the second half of the cheeseburger from his mouth. Cindy swung her pony tail this way and that way which really annoyed him a lot but at least she kept. I arranged an early morning business meeting, and kept the rest of the day clear. She arrived just before lunch, with a couple of shopping bags, so her story was true. We kissed in greeting and I took her in to the hotel café, where we sat and talked for a while. She was as delightful as I hoped she might be, slim, and perhaps a bit flatter chested than my ideal choice, but her southern accent just delighted me. After a light lunch, we agreed that we were comfortable with each other and headed. This put Rose off, and I was determined to think of some way to put Annabelle in her place. She wasn't proving popular with the rest of the ladies either, particularly Chrissie, who she put down unmercifully, and Emma, who she regarded as 'outside staff' and therefore beyond the pale. I voiced my thoughts to HL, but she seemed not to be interested. In fact she was waiting for me to work out what to do myself, and she was waiting to see how long it took me to get in the saddle. The final straw. And I'm not talking about your fingers. I miss you so much. That was all there was. No "goodbye" or "see you later" or "call me."Just enough information to require him to beat off twice before he could go to sleep.Bob's job made it seem like Colorado was simply a dream he'd had while he took a long sleep. He knew it was real, but the tedious normalcy of his job made it difficult to believe that his girlfriend was real, or that he'd ever get to see her again. Not that they didn't email and Skype..
