"There was a pretty good crowd in the place and Gus decided that the bar was the appropriate place for him, not wishing to take up a table for just hi...mself. A fresh coat of paint really did wonders to the place. My room, even had a new bed.....a single bed no less, but it really added to the new “feel” the place exuded. I dumped my stuff on the bed and followed Aunt Sue out to the kitchen. She had prepared for a cuppa by boiling the kettle. I sat at the new glass top dining table and waited.
